INSEAD Syngenta Endowed Scholarship for Minorities


The Scholarship for Minorities company is a leader in crop protection, and ranks third in the high-value commercial seeds market. Sales in 2007 were approximately US$ 9.24 billion. Syngenta employs some 21,000 people in 90 countries. Headquarters is located in Basel, Switzerland.

Scholarship Details:

Two Scholarship for Minorities will be awarded per class and candidates for this scholarship will need to demonstrate: (a) outstanding academic achievement and promise (b) aptitude for business and financial management (c) leadership potential and (d) a commitment to contributing to their country or region at some point in the future.

Eligibility Details:

Scholarship for Minorities Candidates must be a national of an emerging economy and have spent a substantial part of their lives in the developing world, in education and/or professional experience. Experience in industry will be considered a plus. Preference will be given to candidates who require proven financial assistance.

Essay topic Details:

1).Briefly discuss the requirements for successful business leadership in your country today. Describe how you envisage contributing to the future development of your country after graduation and why you should be considered for this award. (200 words)
2).Briefly discuss measures required for sustainable agriculture in your country/region in the context of urban and rural development. Focus on what you consider to be the most important element (450 words)

3).Provide a concise but accurate description of your financial circumstances as well as a cash flow forecast for the year at INSEAD (details of income set against expenditures).

MSc Scholarships for Minorities in Food and Water Security


The Scholarships for Minorities will be awarded for academic excellence (at least a top award from the United Kingdom in the second or equivalent, is planned or already implemented by the university that the candidate provides for the examination). To teach as an award, an application for a place on a master's degree from the University of Aberystwyth.

A total of 3
Scholarships for Minorities worth £ 5,000 tuition fees for full-time students on the MSc Food & Water Safety courses are available for students beginning their studies in September 2011. It is open to both UK / EU and non-EU students. Application forms will not be necessary. It is therefore important that the application for a place.

A total of 3 scholarships worth £5000 from tuition fees of full-time students on the MSc Food & Water Security course are available for students who commence their studies in September 2011. This is open to both UK/EU and non-EU students.
Separate application forms will not be required. Therefore it is essential that the application for a place [see www.aber.ac.uk/en/postgrad/howtoapply/ ] be received by the AU Postgraduate Admissions Office by 31st May 2011. Applicants should specify “MSc Food & Water Security Scholarships” in section 4 of the Postgraduate Application Form, or in the relevant section of an on-line application.
Selection will be on the basis of academic excellence and the applicant’s suitability for their proposed course. A minimum (UK) 2.i Honours (or equivalent) is required for consideration. Information on the comparability of non-UK degrees is available at www.aber.ac.uk/en/postgrad/howtoapply/entryrequirements/comparability/ .
Decisions for 2011 will be made by a selection panel on the basis of academic excellence (see 3 above) and where applicable, relevant work experience. The panel will consist of academic representatives from IBERS, IGES and the Department of International Politics and will be chaired by the Dean of Postgraduate Studies. The results will be made available during the first week of July 2011.
Scholarships are available for entirely self-financed students (i.e. they cannot be held by students with full-awards, e.g. Chevening Scholarships, Commonwealth Shared Scholarship or any governmental award or any partial awards, including AU departmental awards and the Aber-grad Discount).
Scholarships cannot be deferred to future intakes.
This Scholarships for Minorities scheme is subject to annual review.

PhD Fellowship Scholarships for Minorities at Graduate Research School GEOSIM


GEOSIM Scholarships for Minorities is a new graduate research school funded by the Helmholtz association and grants from its home institutions: GFZ Potsdam, Freie Universität Berlin and Universität Potsdam. Earth scientists and mathematicians from these institutions have joined forces to start research and education in the field of Explorative Simulation in Earth Sciences.

Scholarship Description:The purpose of the scholarship is to encourage enrollment in educational studies related to career fields in Water Resource Management.
1. he applicant should have declared a major such as Environmental Science, Biology, Agriculture, Engineering, Public Administration, or Political Science and have the intention of pursuing work in Water Resources.
2. The applicant must be enrolled in a two- or four- year accredited college or university located within the
Minnesota River Basin.
3. The applicant must be an undergraduate student with a current standing as Freshman, Sophomore, or Junior.
